Big, bigger, biggest sailing superyacht

For al the MenReport readers who just retired and don’t have clue of how to spend their billions, we got a tip. The Turkish Dream Ship Victory (DSV) is going to build the world’s largest 472 feet sailing superyacht. This yacht should be big enough to take your whole family on a caribbean sailing trip.

Naval architects Dykstra & Partners and Ken Freivokh Design together with DSV’s Valeriy Stepanenko designed the Art Deco-inspired all-wood super yacht. The all-wood  design will use up a fair number of trees, but DSV promises excellent green credentials through the use of carefully selected tropical woods, a “totally  renewable resource”.

Before you can sail away you have to wait at least five years. The construction schedule is slated to begin this summer with a five-year build plan, making for a launch date of 2016. Until that time you can try the other yachts we have reported.
